Very Young Carolers Raise Money for Animals

Κάλαντα στον Δήμαρχο Λευκάδας κ. Αραβανή από μικρούς ζωόφιλους

Six wonderful children age four to eight, chanted the carols on New Years Eve in order to raise money for stray animals and set a fine example to all of us. Georgina, Petros, Eleana, Theodosis, Penelope and John along with their triangles chanted the carols to the newly elected mayor Mr. Aravanis, then to archbishop Mr. Theophilos, to parliament member Mr. Margelis, to the veterinary surgeons Mr. Sourvinos and Kalos, to people who were at the agora of Lefkada and enthusiastically embraced this initiative from our Laws “volunteers”. Finally our little friends chanted the carols to… their grandmothers, as well!

Happy New Year, though it is going to be a very difficult year.  Debt, paycut, unemployment, economical asphyxiation predetermining a doomed future and depression. Greek people who used be smiling are now stooping, talking to themselves…and the worst is yet to come.
